UV Flashlights 365 nm & 395 nm for Inspection, Detection and Blacklight Effects
UV / Blacklight Flashlights
Our UV flashlights are available in 365 nm and 395 nm and are used for inspection, detection and blacklight effects. Whether you need to trace leaks, verify cleaning results or create a strong glow effect, you will find the right UV flashlight here.
Which UV flashlight do I need?
- 365 nm UV flashlight – Professional quality with the strongest fluorescent reaction. Produces minimal visible purple light but maximises the glow of UV-reactive materials. Ideal for inspection and detection.
- 395 nm UV flashlight – Emits more visible purple UV light and is often more affordable. Suitable for general use, entertainment and situations where a visible UV effect is desired.
Not sure whether to choose 365 nm or 395 nm? Consider whether you need a powerful, low‑visibility fluorescent reaction (365 nm) or a visible purple blacklight effect (395 nm).
Applications of UV flashlights
- Leak detection – When used with UV dye, leaks in pipes and installations become clearly visible.
- Hygiene and cleaning inspection – Easily check whether surfaces, bathrooms or kitchens have been cleaned properly.
- Forensic and technical inspection – Detect traces, markings, glue residues and other UV-reactive materials.
- Money and document verification – Check banknotes, ID cards and other security documents.
- Entertainment and decoration – Blacklight effects on UV paint, textiles, decor and glow-in-the-dark materials.
- Pet stain detection – Locate urine stains and other hard-to-see contamination.
What to consider when choosing a UV flashlight?
- Wavelength (nm) – Determines the effect: maximum fluorescence (365 nm) or visible purple light (395 nm).
- Light output and beam angle – A strong beam with the right angle ensures even illumination of the inspection area.
- Power source – Choose between rechargeable battery, USB charging or standard batteries depending on usage time and mobility.
- Housing and protection – A durable, possibly water- or dust-resistant housing is important for intensive or professional use.
- Size – Compact flashlights are ideal for on-the-go use, while larger models often offer more power.
Safe use of UV flashlights
UV light is powerful. Do not shine the beam directly into eyes or onto skin and always use the flashlight according to the manufacturer's instructions. For intensive or professional use, wearing a UV protective safety glass may be advisable.
