The flashlight has three modes that you can activate by gently pressing the on/off button when it's on. Mode 1 = full power, 2 = dimmed, 3 = strobe (flashing).
If you turn the flashlight on and off in quick succession, the functions will also come into operation.
If there is +/- 10 seconds between turning it on and off, it will go to the highest setting when you turn it on.
Then it is a normal on and off button.
